The open house will include a review of plans for the architectural charrette to be held Jan. 31-Feb. 6 that will establish the planning and design parameters for the development. With input from the public, a vision for the redevelopment will emerge. The charrette will be led by Andres Duany, a pre-eminent New Urbanist planner and founder of Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company. . The Newburgh Waterfront project is expected to incorporate housing, retail space, and office uses into a mixed-use neighborhood. Prominent public spaces will be incorporated into the plan as well.
